- Afternoon at Sigiriya Rock Fortress (193 m) — 5th-century royal citadel with stunning frescoes
- Pidurangala Rock alternative climb for panoramic views
Day 2 — Sigiriya to Kandy
- En route Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO) — five magnificent Buddhist cave shrines
- Arrive Kandy — evening at Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Day 3 — Nuwara Eliya
